Just took my first Tai Chi with Kathleen (and my first streaming class); it was amazing! After almost a year away from the studio this was the most lovely way to come back. Beautiful flow, patient gentle guidance, and a surprisingly personal experience streaming. This is and will continue to be my yoga studio for as long as I live in Nebraska.
Although I had been aware of yoga and many times thought about joining a class, it wasn’t until I attended a yoga workshop in 2014 that my true relationship with yoga began. That workshop led to attending studio classes and eventually to yoga teacher training at Sound Method Yoga, completing my RYT200 in 2015. After completing training, I came across a blog entitled ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’ that really clicked with me—to the extent that in 2016 I earned my Yoga for Healthy Aging (YFHA) certification as well. As of late 2015, I made the transition from work to non-work. Concurrent with this transition, I began applying YFHA concepts to my own healthy living routine and am convinced that by incorporating them I am proactively impacting my long-term independence (the ability to perform both basic and loved activities). Happily, it’s never too late to incorporate these concepts and I look forward to exploring them with you.
