I attended the Beginner's Vinyasa on 1/18/20 and loved it! The staff was super friendly, the studio was comfortable and clean, and the class was challenging. The instructor passed around consent cards at the beginning of class for clients to put on their mats to indicate if you gave consent for the instructor to touch you/guide you for corrections during the class - I thought this was super thoughtful and speaks volumes about the studio and how much they care about their clients.
In addition to teaching Yoga, Dana is a stay at home mom to three rambunctious little girls and is married to a pastor, who also happens to be her best friend in the world. Before having kiddos, she enjoyed working as a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist serving clients and building relationships with those she had the privilege to touch. Yoga became a part of her life when she was preparing for the birth of her third daughter; the yogic practices of breath and a non-judgmental perspective on the body empowered her to have the birth she had always dreamed of (third time's a charm!). After that she began to explore the realm of anatomically sound and alignment sensitive asana practice, which resonated with her background in medical massage. In her Yoga teaching Dana melds two passions: The knowledge of and love for the body as a NMT, and the compassionate encouragement she delights to give as a mother.
