I attended the Beginner's Vinyasa on 1/18/20 and loved it! The staff was super friendly, the studio was comfortable and clean, and the class was challenging. The instructor passed around consent cards at the beginning of class for clients to put on their mats to indicate if you gave consent for the instructor to touch you/guide you for corrections during the class - I thought this was super thoughtful and speaks volumes about the studio and how much they care about their clients.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Caitlin made her way to Nebraska by way of New York and Colorado, after following her college sweet-heart and now husband out west. Her personal yoga practice has developed over the past 10 years and continues to evolve today. After attending a yoga class with her mother during a visit home from college, Caitlin knew she had experienced something very special. For someone who was rooted in the dance world through adolescence, the physical movement and expression of asana felt good to her body; but, it is the transformative power of yoga that has continued to draw Caitlin back to the mat time and again.
Having found a place where she feels grounded and nurtured, Caitlin sought to deepen her practice through a teacher training program. The door for such an opportunity opened when Mandy brought SMY’s 200 hour program to North Platte, NE in the summer of 2019. Caitlin was accredited as a RYT 200 teacher in November 2019 and completed her Yin certification with SMY in February 2020.
Caitlin is deeply grateful for all the wisdom that is available to us on our mats, and it is her passion for inner fulfillment through yoga that drives her teaching of the practice to others. Through dynamic movement and introspection, she encourages students to become aware of sensations in the body and to embrace where they are in the moment. Her hope is that students will not only feel more nourished and balanced when stepping off the mat, but empowered to bring that same sense of equanimity cultivated on the mat into their daily lives. Yoga is a vehicle to this and so much more - won’t you ride with me?
