Erin’s path to becoming a yoga practitioner evolved when she was at her lowest. Though she’d participated in yoga classes before, it was during a concentrated healing break from her day job in 2017 that she connected with a teacher who helped show her how yoga and meditation could help. After years of struggling with depression, anxiety, and past traumas, she found yoga to be a source of serenity that she’d not found anywhere else. Yoga has been an integral part of her healing path and it inspired her to want to help others and get her teaching certificate. She received her 200-hour certification from Sound Method Yoga in 2020.
Erin believes that yoga is much more than just a fitness practice. She sees yoga as a way to integrate mind, body, and spirit in a way to promote a whole person who is grounded, loving, and feels gratitude for the journey of life. Her teaching methodology is not to enforce methodologies but rather to open her students to finding their own path to truth for themselves.
When you take a class with Erin, you’ll experience storytelling, humor, poetry, and connection. She’ll ask you to notice little things you might have overlooked and to honor where you are in the present. She’s excited for you to join her in class!
