Irene is a mind-body therapist and emotional freedom coach focused on healing-centered engagement and trauma resolution, nurturing her client’s strengths to empower dynamic balance from within themselves.
With specialized experience in women’s health, persistent Lyme disease, substance use recovery, and chronic pain management, Irene guides clients in an exploration of the ways in which they can access their own innate wisdom and move toward greater freedom and peaceful power. Her therapeutic practice support clients in navigating the complexities of how their own individual body, mind, breath, spirit, and cultural context all mutually reinforce one another.
Irene's philosophy is deeply rooted in respect and care for the self as but one aspect of cultivating the greater good and connecting with others. She believes that when we cultivate awareness, honesty, and acceptance within ourselves, we are better equipped with the tools to truly listen, to live more fully, and to approach others with compassion.
Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Sociology from Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), and is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Additionally, she holds certifications in prenatal yoga (Integral Yoga, NYC), kids’ yoga (Karma Kids, NYC), Thai massage (Sunshine Massage Network, Thailand), and is trained as a birth doula.
