Katie discovered yoga in college, practicing simply because “it felt good afterwards” and developed a more serious practice after moving to Philadelphia in 2006. Yoga helped her heal emotionally and physically after being diagnosed with melanoma and it has been an important tool in dealing with the stress of daily life. She completed the Shanti Yoga Shala 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014. Off the mat, she is a passionate environmental activist with an interest in health and wellness. Katie hopes to share the benefits of yoga with all levels through thoughtful sequencing and attention to alignment with a dash of humor and warmth thrown in for good measure. Inversions make her happy.
