Juli has been practicing yoga since 1998. Her introduction to
yoga was in a health club when her aerobic class was replaced by a
yoga class. Her first inclination was to run ~ But she stayed and
stayed for life. That teacher, Monique Maxwell, taught her the
foundations of Iyengar & Ashtanga Yoga that led her to her next
teacher, Michelle Lynn. It was with her encouragement, that Juli
pursued her teacher training with David Swenson and Manju Jois in
Ashtanga Yoga. Teaching now for over a decade, she has also studied
with Tanya Boigenzahn Sowards of Devanadi ~ School of Yoga and
Wellness where she earned her advanced training in Para Yoga and
her Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist certificate with Kathrynn Templeton
of the Himalayan Institute.
Her journey has led her to practice many styles of yoga and studied with many local and senior yoga teachers from home and around the world in which she holds in the highest esteem, but her first love is the Ashtanga Yoga practice and her passion is to help students understand all of yoga's transformative gifts.
