Jerrod is a very knowledgeable teacher. He customizes each class on the fly according to what the students in the class need. He provides options and modifications to meet the needs of each student. As a fellow teacher, I can say this is much more difficult than coming with a class that was prepared in advance without knowing your audience/what specific issues they are dealing with. Yin Yoga is very challenging for some students because it requires the student to slow down and hold poses longer. In a world that is always moving, finding stillness can be difficult. There are so many benefits for the mind and body when we slow down. We have become human do-ings rather than human beings. I have found much personal benefit to learning how to just be. Highly recommend Jerrod, Yin Yoga and the Yoga Center of Steamboat.
Nicole was born on the Summer Solstice, The International Day of Yoga, and was first introduced to yoga in 2001. It was an instant love affair when she felt the healing benefits of the practice – physically, mentally and emotionally. Her yoga and daily meditation practice came about as she began to explore new ways to work through grief and stagnant energy. Healing power of subtle energies combined with breath and movement became the glue that held her mind, body and spirit together. Her mat was the one place she felt a sense of calmness, peace and serenity. To deepen her practice, she completed a 200 hour RYT in 2019 at Yoga Center of Steamboat, her 300 hour with Steamboat Springs School of Yoga and is registered through Yoga Alliance. Her compassion for others is what compelled her to share these practices with the community. Nicole’s goal is to create a safe, fun and organic environment that is accessible for all. Through her teaching she shares the tools to empower others with the importance of taking the time to nourish mind, body and spirit in order to achieve optimum health and well-being.
