Colleen started her yoga journey after retiring from 34 years of practicing law in Florida. Since retirement, she and her husband became part-time residents of Steamboat to enjoy horses, hiking, the mountains and, of course, yoga during the spring, summer and fall seasons.
Colleen quickly became a regular yogi at the Yoga Center of Steamboat. She appreciates and is grateful for experiencing an atmosphere of positivity and balance for the body and mind along with the kindness and talents of each of the teachers here.
Colleen has earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification at the Yoga Center of Steamboat. Colleen’s goal as a yoga instructor is to create awareness and wellness of body, mind and spirit. Her focus in each practice is to bring gentle movement for the body, contentment and peace to the mind and spirit. Her classes include some breath work (pranayama), stretching, strengthening, and balance poses (asanas) for the body and a short meditation before resting in Savasana.
