There's something really special when you get to witness a community come together in a time of crisis like the Nova Yoga team has done to allow their classes to continue in such unprecedented times. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to practice with the wonderful teachers when normally, I would not be able to, living 7 hours away. It's quite nice seeing the teachers in their own home, keeping it real - but also offering high quality classes. Thank you for being leaders and innovators in this very stressful time. Knowing I have a class scheduled is a bright light in my day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Julie started practicing yoga in 2002 as a way to help alleviate the stress of doing a PhD. After her first class at Moksana in Victoria, BC she was hooked! Upon moving back to St. John’s she found Nova Yoga and knew it was her yoga home. In 2019 she completed her Find Your Flow 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in St. John’s with Helena Butler and Melanie Caines. As an avid mountain biker and geophysicist by day she finds that yoga gives her the opportunity to escape life’s demands, stay limber, and maintain a positive disposition. As a teacher Julie likes to focus on body awareness, mental clarity, and embracing your true self!
