I started attending Yoga WIld in November of 2019 because I found their focus to be wholesome and truly community-oriented. This is one of my favorite studios to attend and hope many others try them.
I have had a devoted yoga practice for 13 years. Through exploring the many different limbs and styles of yoga, I have come to truly understand the power of community and interconnected nature of all things. Most transformative though, has been the opportunity to cultivate and then practice present mindedness both on and off my mat.
As a 200-RYT, I teach from a place of understanding that everyone is doing their best, at this very moment. In class, I work to create a safe space through proper physical alignment and breathwork as a foundation. In feeling stable in our bodies, we can not only learn the edges of our physical self but discover the elevating effects of yoga both spiritually and mentally. If students leave class being able to translate the patience + dedication + openness experienced on their mat to the rest of their day off their mat, then we are truly practicing yoga. I believe through the practice of yoga we can transform the world we live in, one person at a time.
Fun Facts: I was once a Segway Tour Guide in Chicago, but have traded in cement and glass for trees and grass - never looking back!
