Ahimsa and their lovely teachers is a real gem in the city! It is a warm, inviting space that is open and accepting to all levels of ability, whether you’re a beginner trying yoga out, or a well practiced yogi. It has a special place in my heart :)

Angela
Angela has been a student of yoga for 18 years, initially trained with Elizabeth Holiday from Bihar School of Yoga and was certified to teach yoga in 2000. She has trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn and is certified to teach mindfulness meditation for stress reduction 1996 and restorative yoga in 2009. She integrates her diverse educational background and extensive hands-on experience to facilitate healing the whole person; mind-body-spirit for natural harmony and well being.has 23 years of experience working in the field of sports injury rehabilitation, healing and consciousness work. Angela has a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto, Athletic Therapist Certification, Sports Physiotherapy Certification and holds a diploma in Osteopathic Manual Therapy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. Her research thesis was a quantitative study on circulation and venous drainage from the cranium using doppler ultrasound. Her impressive work experience includes sports specific treatment and training with elite/Olympic level athletes around the world as a member of the Canadian Medical Team at the Olympics, Pan American Games, World University Games, Maccabia Games, Commonwealth Games, and other International Games; 3 years with the National Ballet School of Canada; and 5 years treating acrobats, performing artists, and contortionists while touring with Cirque du Soleil. It is her passion to work with artists and people who seek a depth and understanding of the truth in the expression of themselves in the world. She is has done postgraduate training in Classical Osteopathy with the late Dr. John Werham (at 100 years old) in Maidstone, UK and continues to do training in biodynamic osteopathy with Dr. James Jealous in USA. This approach assists by integrating the organism and freeing up the primary respiratory mechanism to enhance ones true nature and expression of the essence of being. She specializes in working with hypermobile syndromes. In addition to osteopathy and physiotherapy, Angela has studied various other manual therapies including zero balancing, cranio-sacral therapy, somato-emotional release, polarity therapy and myofascial release, to name only a few.
