Yoga has been an important part of Stephanie’s life for more
than seventeen years. But it wasn’t until she pursued formal
teacher certification in 2010 that she decided to leave her
corporate career in human resources, and focus on her passion to
share yoga with others.
Stephanie received her teacher certification in Hatha Vinyasa
yoga from Cynthia Funk and Karusia Wroblewski at the Yoga Sanctuary
in Toronto. Over the last four years she has continued to
accumulate training hours with other renowned Canadian teachers,
including Eoin Finn, Cathy Keenan, Tama Soble and Shehla Kahn; and
international teachers, Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell and Seane
Corn. She has additional teaching certification in Yin yoga (2015),
Therapeutic yoga for Anxiety (2013) and Children’s yoga (2011).
She’s also completed Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress
Reduction meditation program (2011).
In addition to teaching public and private yoga classes,
Stephanie has taught yoga to the Phys. Ed students at Northern
Secondary School in Toronto, and corporate workshops at the head
offices of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
“My yoga philosophy is quite simple: I believe that yoga
should be fun. And that practicing yoga will create more smiles on
more faces. At the end of a yoga practice it’s amazing because
people literally transform; they leave nourished, renewed and
relaxed… it’s total bliss”.
