Thank you for the wonderful class tonight, Valerie! Even from home, I felt as if I was sharing in great connection with all of the open hearts at the studio. I am grateful for your reminder to embrace those vulnerable feelings!
Sujena’s journey with yoga began in 2011 and it’s been a fundamental part of her life ever since. A dedicated yoga practice has helped her overcome many mental health challenges over the years allowing her to nurture more peace, love and mindfulness in her life. Yoga has also become a pathway to exploring and connecting with her South Asian roots.
Sujena has a BA Hons degree in Kinesiology and Health Science as well as a couple of years of experience in personal training. She completed her 250-hour yoga teacher training at The Yoga Sanctuary, specializing in Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga. Her goal is to create more inclusive and accessible spaces for healing through movement and empower individuals to honour and accept their individuality and journey both on and off the mat.
You can expect a challenging yet accessible, holistic and therapeutic practice that places a strong emphasis on connecting the breath with movement, exploring alignment and sensation, and developing a stronger relationship with our body, mind and breath.
