Sydney is an instructor rooted in mindful, music led movement (say that five times fast). After a childhood of competitive dance, she began practicing yoga in university in search of the same connection. Yoga opened so many internal doors for Sydney to better understand her own body, mind, and spirituality. In other words, she was hooked. While practicing yoga, her teaching journey actually began with baby ballet where she discovered her passion for leading a room of people through the joy of movement. It wasn’t until she took a barre class herself, that she uncovered the possibilities of fusing yoga and dance together and teaching adults. From tiny humans, to full grown ones, she continued to learn more about how mindful movement can truly positively influence lives. Sydney now teaches barre and yoga around Toronto and from her living room. Her calm, approachable energy invites you to practice in a way that is unique to you, while her athletic approach will help you find strength and courage to take your practice to new places. Off her mat, you’ll find Sydney flexing her creative muscles in advertising or painting at home with her partner.
