My yoga journey began almost 10 years back at a Bikram studio
primarily to help heal from injuries related to a car accident. But
in the process it altered my ego and took me through this amazing
inward journey within myself. I started recognizing what I am, who
I am, what means the most to me. Eventually I realized I have
control on my own emotions and on my actions. This practice of
breath and movement took me to whole another level of spirituality.
I realized with my breath I can just hang in there for a while and
find contentment, Santhosha. This space on my mat allows me to find
myself and connect me to my very core. I appreciated things more
than I did. Accepting where we are, what we have been through, what
we have in life now and letting go of the past really helped me
keep my inner peace. Yoga has made me realize to live life to the
fullest not in fear, not sinking in our negative thoughts, but
live, learn and love. Always!
To teach what I have learned from my own practice is what inspired
me to pursue teacher training last year. It gives me a platform to
connect with students, share experiences, learn from each other,
and grow. Through proper guidance of breath and movement, I would
like my students to find that space for themselves on their mats to
explore the endless possibilities through mind body connection and
leave their mats feeling totally transformed with their minds at
ease, their hearts with contentment and peace. It is through this
inner peace, we can all live in harmony and spread love, kindness
wherever we go!
Katie began practicing traditional hot yoga during Summer 2006 while attending graduate school in Italy, and has never looked back! “I've fallen in love with being in the hot room and teaching this yoga. I enjoy teaching the safe way to practice, listen to your body, move as one, and receive the therapeutic benefits of the Hatha Yoga. This practice is more than 'just yoga'. This practice heals. It works. It's hard. It's hot and sometimes it stinks, but it's so so good for you!”

Ok lets begin! Deep breathe in and exhale out....
"Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony” (Debasish Mridha). Victoria was drawn to Hot Yoga, 13 years ago for this very reason. She accompanied her brother to her first class and fell in love with the practice. Heat, sweat, and healing brought her back every time.
Her passion for Hot Yoga, along with her extensive background in dance and physical therapy led her to seek teacher training. She applies her knowledge of anatomy and movement of the body to help her students fully connect mind, body, and spirit in her class.
