Kaitlyn began yoga a few years ago, following the loss of her
beloved younger brother. She had always been active, running and
weight training, but was constantly facing health issues and
injuries that prevented her from consistent progress. After a few
years on her mat, Kaitlyn realized her strength had increased,
without the unwanted stress on her body. In addition to a
dedication to fitness, Kaitlyn has worked in the natural health
industry since 2010 and has a passion for wellness and nutrition.
She believes yoga is an important part of a healthy lifestyle in
today’s busy, stressful world.
In 2013 Kaitlyn completed her yoga teacher training in
Nicaragua. Planning on deepening her own practice, she quickly
found teaching helped her feel more confident in front of a group
of people, something she was never comfortable with. By the end of
the month, Kaitlyn had realized teaching was something she loved
and was eager to pursue. Though a new teacher, she continues to
attend workshops and study the philosophy and practice of yoga,
forever learning and growing.
Kaitlyn combines traditional hatha yoga postures with
challenging strength exercises from her own workouts, focusing on
alignment and safe modifications. She enjoys flowing postures
together to uplifting and sometimes unconventional yoga
