YogashalaWaterdown has such a comfortable and low pressure atmosphere. I always look forward to spending time there. Wonderful teachers and staff, and a perfect variety of class options. So happy to be part of this environment.
"I have been practicing yoga for roughly four years. I first
started yoga to deal with the transition out of being a competitive
gymnast. So, for me, yoga started off as more of a physical
practice. I also started yoga to help deal with the pressures and
stress of school. I found that the more I did yoga, the more
awareness I felt I had about my body, my mind and the decisions I
would make on a daily basis.
I have a background in coaching both gymnastics and cheerleading
and did that for about ten years before leaving and starting my
yoga-teaching career. After graduating from my degree in Child
Development, I realized that although I love working with children,
I was not happy with where I was in my life and that is when I
decided to change my path to do my teacher training.
Taking my teacher training was one of the best life decisions I
could have made for myself. Yoga has completely changed my life in
so many ways. I truly feel that life is too short to be unhappy
with the things that you are doing – so why not make a change if
you can; and that is exactly what I did!
