this morning I took the 7:15 am yoga class with Joanna , it was the exact amount of strength, stretch and balance practice I needed today. I love how she adjust my body during the class, it is so important to have the right alignment. She is clear and explains so well what is being done , my new favorite part the hand stand , I usually am so scared of being upside down , I am uncomfortable doing it but with Joanna's help and technique with 2 blocks , it is so easy and painless !!!! I am most worried that her classes are going to be too busy very soon !!! Until then I am enjoying the semi private atmosphere ...thank you Shiva Yoga for reopening this yoga studio and making it look much better.
Grace's yoga adventure started in 2004. She loved the way yoga made her feel: the greater awareness in her body and easier access to the joy inside. When she took her first class with Keric Morinaga, she knew that it would be a part of her forever. Yoga has given her life more meaning and helped her find her true purpose. Yoga has taught her again and again that the Highest Self is beyond moments of self-doubt, fear, or sorrow. Yoga reminds her that she is not alone, and that we are all on the path to overcome suffering and find lasting peace. Grace strives to uplift each student in every pose, whether it’s “beginner,” “advanced,” or something in between. Her training includes 200 Hour Anusara Teacher Training, 12 Hour Anusara Yoga For Pregnancy Teacher Training, Yoga Therapy Level 1 at Loyola Marymount University, and 300 Hour Anusara Teacher Training. She wants to thank her extraordinary teachers (Keric, Joy Stone, Lori Rubinstein Fazzio, Laura King, Jeff Bass) and her students for showing her how to practice yoga and for changing her life.
