This Beginner Yoga Class series introduces the fundamental principles of yoga, pose alignment and breath work. Students will be introduced to yoga asanas (postures) through a step-by-step progression into the version of the pose that best suits each student's personal skill level. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. If you have never tried yoga this series is perfect for you. The series is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga as well as those seeking deeper understanding.
Ease into your Sunday with a slow, gentle yin practice led by one of our rotating teachers - each bringing their own unique vibe, warmth, and style.
This class is all about softening, unwinding, and giving yourself permission to take it easy. Expect long holds, lots of support, gentle guidance, and space to just be as you melt into the stillness of each shape. Whether you're shaking off the week or setting the tone for the one ahead, this is your invitation to stretch, breathe, and settle into a calmer you.
Melt is a slow, soulful yin practice designed to help you soften the edges, unwind deep tension, and slip into a state of ease. This class invites you to dissolve the layers of stress that accumulate throughout daily life, using long-held shapes, steady breath, and mindful stillness to coax the body into release. You’ll ease into poses that target the connective tissues, hips, spine, and shoulders- areas where we tend to hold the most tension. Expect quiet guidance, soothing imagery, and plenty of space to simply feel. As the body softens, the mind follows. Melt is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect inward, and let yourself be held in stillness. By the end of class, you’ll feel lighter, softer, and more spacious, like something inside you has gently loosened. Everyone is welcome—no experience necessary!
This class blends the deep stillness of Yin yoga with guided meditation to help you slow down and reconnect — both with your body and your breath. We’ll begin with long-held, floor-based Yin poses to gently open the body, release tension, and prepare the nervous system for stillness. From there, you’ll be guided into a simple, accessible meditation to calm the mind and deepen your inner awareness. No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary — just come as you are. Whether you’re feeling stressed, scattered, or simply need space to breathe, this class offers a gentle reset from the pace of daily life. Expect minimal movement, lots of stillness, and a soft return to yourself.
Each class in this series offered Tuesday mornings from 9:15 – 10:15 offers a coordinated collection of the challenging, slow-moving, ballistic and/or controlled muscle- building workouts. As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass and with it the ability to do the things that we would love to be able to do for the rest of our life, but we don’t have to lose that muscle mass. We can defend our muscle mass, mobility, and co-ordination.
Strength training doesn’t just enhance the benefits of yoga, it increases a yogi’s ability to not only achieve challenging poses but also enhances their ability to perform activities of daily living with less fatigue. When we build muscle, our bodies naturally burn more glucose even at rest; increase bone density; and demonstrate more muscle definition. As you get stronger you will notice that your balance improves, and your yoga practice improves.
