Melt is a slow, soulful yin practice designed to help you soften the edges, unwind deep tension, and slip into a state of ease. This class invites you to dissolve the layers of stress that accumulate throughout daily life, using long-held shapes, steady breath, and mindful stillness to coax the body into release. You’ll ease into poses that target the connective tissues, hips, spine, and shoulders- areas where we tend to hold the most tension. Expect quiet guidance, soothing imagery, and plenty of space to simply feel. As the body softens, the mind follows. Melt is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect inward, and let yourself be held in stillness. By the end of class, you’ll feel lighter, softer, and more spacious, like something inside you has gently loosened. Everyone is welcome—no experience necessary!

Quiet Hour: Yin Yoga and Meditation

We’ll begin with long-held, floor-based Yin poses to gently open the body, release tension, and prepare the nervous system for stillness. From there, you’ll be guided into a simple, accessible meditation to calm the mind and deepen your inner awareness. No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary — just come as you are. Whether you’re feeling stressed, scattered, or simply need space to breathe, this class offers a gentle reset from the pace of daily life. Expect minimal movement, lots of stillness, and a soft return to yourself.

Yoga Strong: Pump Your Practice (APRIL)

Each class in this series offered Tuesday mornings from 9:15 – 10:15 offers a coordinated collection of the challenging, slow-moving, ballistic and/or controlled muscle- building workouts. As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass and with it the ability to do the things that we would love to be able to do for the rest of our life, but we don’t have to lose that muscle mass. We can defend our muscle mass, mobility, and co-ordination.

Strength training doesn’t just enhance the benefits of yoga, it increases a yogi’s ability to not only achieve challenging poses but also enhances their ability to perform activities of daily living with less fatigue. When we build muscle, our bodies naturally burn more glucose even at rest; increase bone density; and demonstrate more muscle definition. As you get stronger you will notice that your balance improves, and your yoga practice improves.

Yin/Yang Yoga (APRIL)

This late Tuesday afternoon Yin/Yang Yoga series leads you through a balanced practice appropriate for all age groups. Take this opportunity at the end of your day to dissipate the busyness of the day with a gentle Yang slow flow that soothes the muscles with gentle movement and evolves into the stillness of Yin Yoga. The Yang Yoga portion of the class targets moving the body thereby calming the mind during a movement flow carefully synchronized with the breath. The Yin portion of the class enhances improvement in joint mobility by gently allowing the body time for the connective tissues to slowly release into each pose. Each week the focus of the class changes so that over the course of several weeks every area of the body receives special attention.
