Mobilizing the joints, from the spine to the appendages, is necessary to maintain a supple resilient body. However, flexibility and range of motion alone are not enough. In order to have a fully functional physique, creating stability in all movements is equally as important. Created by the programming team at Merrithew®, this workout incorporates the simple Sliding Mobility Disks™ in Matwork-based sequences that move and challenge the musculature of the whole body. The three-dimensional patterns include floor work for the arms, legs and core, and progress to a standing series that targets upright balance and control. Find exercise options for all levels of clients with this all-in-one workout.
The Stability Ball is a perfect tool to use with prenatal clients and adding resistance with the Flex-Band®exerciser delivers a safe and effective workout for moms-to-be. In this interactive seminar, developed by the Merrithew® team, apply the most current medical information, exercise guidelines and research available on pregnancy and movement to innovative STOTT PILATES® exercise adaptations. Learn programming concepts for teaching small groups and private clients specifically in the second trimester. Discuss anatomical and physiological changes, risk factors and movement considerations and leave with strategies for building new prenatal programs as well as enhancing those already in progress.
Learn to challenge and motivate clients and classes using either the Jumpboard or Cardio-Tramp® Rebounder with the Reformer in this workshop developed by the Merrithew® team. Innovative and simple jumping combinations are combined with upper and lower body strength and flexibility exercises. This unique cardio / strength interval workout on the solid accessory board or resilient vertical trampoline, challenges the core and total body strength while elevating the heart rate, all while focusing on proper jumping technique. This energetic format keeps clients and classes on the move.

The STOTT PILATES Principles form the foundation of the STOTT PILATES Movement System and provide the initial framework for programming. These concepts, when applied appropriately and strategically, will facilitate awareness and ensure optimal alignment as well as appropriate engagement of required muscles in clients. For the instructor, these Principles act as a reference tool that can be continually utilized when systematically evaluating and correcting static and dynamic alignment through any and all movement sequences. In each case, we'll examine what the Principle is, why it is important within a programming context, and how we can use movement to reinforce and integrate it into the system as a whole. This workshop, created by the Merrithew programming team, presents the Principles and shows how they are related to movement patterns crucial to optimal function and discusses their application to any type of activity as a platform for instructors at any level.
