CMOH Monthly Holistic Event for Cancer Patients and Caregivers

Note: If you are not a client of The Healing Sanctuary, you will need to create a profile to register. You will be asked to put a credit card on file as part of that process. We will NOT charge your credit card. This is a FREE event.

In partnership with Consultants in Medical Oncology and Hematology and the generosity of Miles for Marc.

Our goal is to create a calming space where people dealing with cancer can access tools for relaxation, healing, and nervous system regulation. These sessions are offered on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and typically integrate breathwork, guided meditation, Reiki and/or mindfulness techniques, accompanied by an immersive sound bath or heartbeat drumming session, which all collectively promote emotional well-being, reduce stress, and offer practical techniques that participants can integrate into their daily lives.

Immersive Sound Journey

Join sound healer, Michael McCullough in this immersive 60 minute sound journey. We begin with a short guided meditation session followed by a heart-centered multi-instrument journey into sound and vibration. Michael uses crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, drums, chimes, rattles and other instruments to invite a relaxation response and bring you to a more calm and peaceful state. These sounds and vibrations will help to shift your brain waves from an active beta state to a relaxed alpha state, and then further into a deeper relaxed theta state. Body, mind and spirit enter into complete relaxation so that the whole self may open to healing, and find restoration. You will leave the session feeling calmer, balanced and more grounded. Come experience the amazing healing power of sound and vibration! Registration is required. NOTE: purchasing multiple passes will not reserve multiple spaces…each individual must be registered separately.

Held on 1st Wednesdays and 4th Tuesdays of each month

To maintain the intended atmosphere and focus on wellness, we kindly request that all participants be aged 13 and older. A private small group session may be a consideration for families with younger children.

Grounding & Clearing

In times of uncertainty and change, our bodies often become the silent keepers of emotions we may not even realize we’re holding — emotions that can show up as tension, discomfort, or even pain. Over time, this emotional and physical holding can contribute to chronic stress, burnout, and a sense of disconnection from ourselves and others.

 Join us for an hour-long, trauma-aware guided breathwork experience, designed to help you reconnect with yourself, explore the somatic roots of your emotions, and gently release what no longer serves you.

In this safe, supportive community space, you’ll be guided through intentional breathing techniques that help unlock deeply held feelings, regulate your nervous system, and create space for clarity, ease, and physical relief. You’ll take with you simple breath-based tools to support emotional processing, body awareness, and resilience in your everyday life.

Whether you’re seeking emotional release, personal insight, or simply a safe space to breathe and be, we invite you to show up exactly as you are — and return as often as you need, discovering new layers of release, insight, and connection each time you come back to your breath.

 All are welcome — no prior breathwork experience necessary.

Mindfulness for Self-Compassion is an invitation to soften toward yourself in a season that often pulls us in the opposite direction. Rather than pushing through or trying to “fix” anything, we’ll explore gentle mindfulness practices that help you meet your inner experience with kindness, patience, and understanding, especially when energy and optimism feel scarce.

You’ll learn simple, practical techniques to:

* Respond to stress, fatigue, and self-criticism with compassion

* Replenish emotional reserves without needing to give more

* Cultivate a sense of warmth and steadiness you can carry into daily life

When we learn to treat ourselves with care, we create more space to show up authentically for others without burning out.
