By consciously altering the rhythm, depth, speed, and intensity of the breath—and incorporating strategic breath retentions—we directly influence the nervous system and create powerful shifts throughout the body and mind.
The breath has an extraordinary ability to illuminate what has been hidden—bringing awareness to unconscious patterns, limiting beliefs, stored emotions, and stress held within the body—so they can be acknowledged, processed, and released.

Yogashala Wellness Centre and 28Music are proud to announce the first-ever Roots & Wings Festival, a unique community event celebrating performers of all ages and skill levels. From toddlers playing their first piano notes to adults picking up an instrument or singing publicly for the very first time, Roots & Wings welcomes everyone to share music, rhythm, and melody in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The festival blends wellness and music, offering tools and experiences to help performers feel grounded, confident, and connected to their creativity. Attendees will have access to wellness activities, cold plunge and sauna cycles, short interactive workshops, and guidance from local practitioners — all designed to support performers in expressing themselves freely through music.
This community event is also inspired by yoga philosophy, which encourages self-awareness, balance, and authentic expression. Just as yoga invites individuals to connect breath, body, and mind, music offers a powerful pathway for creative expression and emotional connection. Roots & Wings embraces these shared values by creating a supportive space where participants can practice courage, presence, and non-judgment — allowing creativity to emerge naturally and joyfully.
Roots & Wings will feature multiple performance stages, community participation, and local vendors, creating an atmosphere of connection, learning, and celebration. The goal is simple: to give performers of all levels a safe space to explore, grow, and enjoy making music together — because music is for everyone.
