Many healing traditions—ancient and modern—view the full moon as an “emotional amplifier.” In this workshop, we’ll harness that potent energy to gently process emotions and invite healing. Through art and somatic exploration, we’ll listen closely to our inner world—meeting the feelings and unmet needs that may have quietly taken root in our bodies, waiting for compassion and release. Sensations, feelings, and recurring memories will serve as our gentle guides toward self‑understanding and transformation. You’ll be held in a safe, trauma‑informed space where you’ll be invited to revisit a memory, connect with the emotions and needs within it, and shift the experience using a simple, yet profound, “magic drawing” process—supported by your own heart’s compassion. Together, we will: - Explore and transform a memory through two simple stick‑figure drawings - Connect to unmet needs and reclaim personal power - Expand emotional vocabulary for deeper self‑understanding - Learn tools for self‑compassion, self‑regulation, and lasting healing After the session, we will share our experiences and aha moments, discuss our intentions for letting go of our old stories, and share a few treats and drinks to celebrate the full moon. Led with a trauma‑informed approach that honors each person’s pace, voice, and lived experience, the workshop draws from ancient practices—spanning Ice Age wisdom, Yoga, Tao, compassionate communication, and energy healing—alongside evidence‑based modalities from Peter Levine, Gabor Maté, Sarah Peyton, and others.
