Come and join us on December 21st to welcome Winter Solstice, the first day of winter.   The Winter Solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year when the sun reaches it's farthest southward point.  Come in from the cold and celebrate with us as Alice guides us through 108 Sun Salutations in the warmth of the studio. The goal is not to do a full 108 Sun Salutations, but to meet ourselves on our mats and to practice gratitude.

 

This class is considered by many to be a form of moving meditation.  A mesmerizing combination of breath and movement.  Although the journey is an individual one, the sense of community and the supportive energy from the movement is felt by everyone.  All levels are welcome.

This event is free. We ask that you make a donation to benefit the Animal Aid Society, located in Hampton, VA.  The Animal Aid Society provides shelter and care for dogs in need. They also help find forever homes for the dogs and provide education for the humane care and treatment of animals, and to attempt to prevent cruelty to animals.
