ABOUT THE EVENT

You are invited to join us as a community for a wholesome morning in support of India, the birthplace of Yoga.

While we are enjoying a period of relative stability here in Australia, the Motherland of Yoga is experiencing a humanitarian crisis. The pandemic in India is nothing short of devastating. Across the country, people continue to face critical shortages of oxygen, medicine, food and supplies to combat the rise in COVID-19 cases. 

I am blessed to have visited this country many times; India has been a ‘spiritual home-base since I visited. India’s culture, people and spirituality have touched my heart, and the practice of Yoga has profoundly impacted my own life and the lives of so many within our community. 

Although we may feel powerless when seeing the numbers and news from India, we can help by donating to charities working locally and on the ground and will continue to long after the pandemic. I am blessed to be a part of an organisation myself. The Village project in India, a charity providing since 2016. 

To offer some small measure of support, let’s join together and share our prayers, love and appreciation for all those in need in India. This fundraiser will be raising funds for much-needed assistance in India. We will be gathering together as a community on Sunday 23rd of May for a morning of Yoga & Kirtan, a call-and-response style chanting with all funds going directly to The Village Project. No experience necessary.

*Prize on the door with chai & chats. 

Attendance is by donation, with 100% of donations going towards The Village Project, supporting the sponsored children and staff members.
