This workshop is designed for yoga teachers and practitioners interested in strengthening their knowledge of physical and energetic anatomy from the yoga perspective. This workshop will include basic information on human structure, physical anatomy, and biomechanics for yoga. Additionally, the yogic models of the subtle body (maya model and the chakra model) will be discussed. Skill practice will include building knowledge of the physical and subtle body as well as how these are affected through yoga movement through observation and movement. Yoga Alliance CEUs will be available for participation in this training).
This class will be lead by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institue. Kim has her doctorate in Helath Education, is an adjucnt professor at IUPUI, a certifed Yoga Therapist, a licensed Massage Therapist, and a Nationally Board-Certified Wellness Coach. She has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of speciality populations and loves teaching others.
