"Mobility: the ability to move or be moved freely and easily.” Mobility is essential because it prepares our bodies for the stress of training. It is a vital contributor to reducing the risk of injuries as well as improving technique and range of movement. It is important to note that strength alone isn't enough to have good mobility.
This is a 30-minute movement class that is designed to walk you through standard, dynamic movements that you should perform before and after your workouts. The class will stay basically the same for the next few weeks as we work on building your skill, flexibilty, and motion.
You will need to be able to go to the floor, come back up, and move fluidly to do most exercises. Having said, this class is designed for intermediate to advanced members. However, beginners are still welcome to join.
Equipment: Yoga mat, Roller, 12” Loop bands, Pole (broom), Chair
Find space in your home with a semi-hard surface as some exercises
will be done on the floor. A yoga mat or carpet is
recommended.
