Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga is named after a city in south
India called Mysore. This type of yoga is taught one on one.
Typical yoga classes allow you to blend in or disappear in a group.
But with the Mysore method your teacher looks at you, sees you and
helps you improve your alignment and form so that you can get the
most out of your practice. Priscilla has travelled to India
extensively to study directly from the source and she is a
professional massage therapist with a strong background in anatomy.
This means that she can assess your posture and see through your
skin to help you understand which muscles you need to turn on and
which ones you can relax. If you are a seeker, you want a
challenge, you want to find answers about your aches and pains this
is a great program for you to attend. This type of yoga is suitable
for anybody at any level. It's particularly beneficial to people
with special needs or injuries who are trying to heal. You will
also learn to memorize a sequence so you can take your practice
anywhere and do it on your own after you have invested some time
with the teacher to get you started.
Please note we honor the moon days which are days for resting and there are no classes held on these days.
