Hip Hop dance includes a wide range of street dance styles that are associated with the Hip Hop culture born in New York City in the mid-'70s. The original style of Hip Hop was Breakdancing and was predominant in the 1970s. Other styles of dance from the US started being included under the Hip Hop umbrella such as Popping, Locking, and Krump.
Improve your coordination, build confidence and get a great workout with Hip Hop. This class begins with a warm up, progresses on to skills development, then concludes with a simple yet challenging routine that will get you moving on the dance floor with ease by the end of the class. Along with the great dance moves comes the great music. From classic, to old school to recent hits, this class will keep you moving and grooving and keeping in touch with Hip Hop culture.
Beginner/Intermediate: High Beginner to low Intermediate level. 2 years Hip Hop dance experience recommended.
Footwear: Clean indoor running shoes. No outdoor shoes will be permitted in the dance studio. Attire: Loose, stretch clothing you can swag and sweat in.
IN-STUDIO COVID-19 POLICIES The Pre-Screening Questionnaire must be filled out for each visit to the studio and must be completed on the same day as your in-studio class. FILL OUT FORM HERE
No cash transactions on site. Sign up through the CDC website or CDC app.
Online registration closes 2 hours before each class. Book ahead and online. Spaces are limited.
Classes with less than 5 students enrolled will be cancelled 2 hours before the start time.
Zero-Tolerance Late Policy. Arrive 10 minutes before your class. Latecomers not permitted into class. Latecomers and no-shows will be charged a late cancellation fee.
