Summer is almost here and that means its time to get ready for beaching & boating!
In this series, you will learn how to use the aerial hammock as a tool to pack more of heat to your workout.
Classes will combine elements of yoga and Pilates, using the hammock to create even more of a challenge to the practice. This practice will focus on burning calories, building muscle, creating balance, strength and stability.
Each class will end with a short meditation, giving your body a chance to relax and restore.
Why do we meditate?
Meditation is an important part of the exercising because when we work out, our heart rate increases which induces stress in the body. Meditation helps calm the body and mind which allows your body to balance it's cortisol levels, known as the “stress hormone”. When the body holds on to stress, it also holds on to fat, so lowering cortisol levels after strenuous activities is a crucial element of weight management.
