<p>Yin Restorative Yoga focuses on the joints and connective tissues of the body which helps improve flexibility, joint mobility, and releases tension. This it done by holding postures and applying the “just right” amount of pressure to increase energy flow to the targeted area. Postures are held for 2-5 minutes and may be done with the support of blocks, bolsters, or blankets to allow gravity to stretch the connective tissue that supports your muscles. Yin yoga’s focus on the joints and soft tissues that support them becomes more important as we age and is a wonderful complement to high impact, weight bearing workouts.</p>
