Are you the stiffest person in a yoga class? Do you lack flexibility or has aging or illness changed your body? Yoga is more than doing advanced asanas. It is meant for everyone not just for flexible people. This course is designed to help you learn how to develop ways of helping yourself both physically and mentally to feel good while practicing. Joan White will guide you through all of your challenges and help you find an alternative or modified asana so you can get the benefits that yoga offers.
Students will be given a simple suggested practice from one week to the next.
Teachers should take this course to learn various “hacks” to help their stiffer and or older students. This series will teach you when it is appropriate use a prop, and why a prop is used. Series counts towards Continuing Education hours.

In order to receive notifications from the studio including your zoom links and class recordings, you must be signed up for notifications. You can find this setting in your account, select My Profile, and click the Notifications tab. We currently do not require masks or proof of vaccination for those attending classes in studio. We do ask that if you are not feeling well please stay home and take an online class.
