Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, blood vessels, and nerves. When it's healthy, fascia allows your muscles to slide and glide as you move. But when your fascia gets tight and stuck, it can restrict your movement. In this class, you'll learn how to release the layers of fascia in your body using special props, techniques, and yoga poses. We will also practice mindful ways to move that are healthy and safe for your hips, knees, and low back. Everyone welcome.
Please bring to class: - a tennis ball or a close approximation - a fascial release peanut or a "crisis online membership peanut" made out of 3 socks. To make a crisis online membership peanut: take 3 knee socks or crew socks, ball up 2 of them and put them side by side inside the third sock, and tie the end.
