Prenatal Partner Yoga is a unique and nurturing practice designed to strengthen the bond between expecting parents while preparing for the journey of childbirth. This supportive class combines gentle yoga poses, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques that couples can practice together to enhance physical comfort, emotional connection and mutual understanding.
Partners play an active role in assisting with poses, offering stability, and helping alleviate tension, making it a shared experience of relaxation and teamwork. Prenatal Partner Yoga also provides tools for labor and delivery, such as breathing exercises and supportive positions, fostering confidence and trust in as you approach the transformative moment of labor and delivery together.
Some of the benefits include:
* An increase in body awareness and ability to breathe through the
moment.
* Helps increase confidence in birth partners and their ability to
support the birthing mom.
* Partner assists allow for deeper release in yoga poses, allowing
for more effective relief from common issues that arise in the
pregnant body such as back pain, sciatica, leg cramps, leg
swelling, acid reflux, exhaustion, stiff muscles, and/or
insomnia.
* Releases oxytocin, which assists in shifting out of fight/flight mode and into the parasympathetic mode, thus increasing feelings of safety, relaxation, pleasure, and connection.
* Brings awareness to multiple areas of the body at once, helping to diffuse mental tension and refresh the nervous system.
* Creates a fun, expressive experience of unity and trust between partners, and creates a nurturing time and space to connect with your new baby.

Yoga is so often recommended to pregnant and postpartum people as a safe and beneficial form of movement, and for good reason! Beyond the mental and typically thought of physical benefits, the breath and movement practices of yoga are wonderful tools for understanding and maintaining optimal health and functionality of the Pelvic Floor. This workshop and class is designed to educate students on the basic anatomy and physiology of the Pelvic Floor, how it functions during pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and how yoga and breathwork can benefit overall pelvic health! The first hour of this event will be a workshop style: lots of education and discussion. The second hour of this event will be a yoga class that incorporates all of our new Pelvic Floor learnings!
Investment: $75 registration inlcudes the one hour workshop and one
hour yoga class. Once you've attended the workshop you may return
for the class only portion as many times as you'd like.
