The themes and discussion topics in this group are most valuable in the first 16 weeks postpartum, but parents of older babies are also welcome.

This class is ideal for parents, expecting parents, grandparents, caregivers, or anyone interested in learning how to save a life! This class is not designed for those who need certification or a course completion card for employment.
This two hour course is taught by Dr. Laura Vanston, an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner, with a background in CPR training and acute and emergency pediatric care.

Navigating the Shift to Parenthood
Are you a soon-to-be parent who wants to be proactive about the
transition into parenthood? Or are you a new parent who has noticed
an increase in stress and/or conflict with your partner since
becoming a parent?
This workshop will help you learn how to transition into parenthood with practical skills and strategies to help with communication, conflict regulation and staying connected as a couple. The workshop can be taken as an expectant couple or as new parents.
Investment: $100 includes pregnant parent and partner. Pre-registration required, minimum registrations required for workshop to run.
During this class we will take a deep dive into all things lactation in order to learn the benefits to both the lactating parent and baby, common challenges and myths, and how to meet the family’s feeding goals. We look at the whole body of both the lactating parent and baby and the impacts on breastfeeding including gut health, oral anatomy, breast anatomy and hormones. We also dive deep into both holistic and conventional breastfeeding tips and tricks, as well as evidence based information to get everybody off to a well informed breastfeeding journey. This class is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and tools to have a happy and successful breastfeeding relationship with their baby.

Prenatal Partner Yoga is a unique and nurturing practice designed to strengthen the bond between expecting parents while preparing for the journey of childbirth. This supportive class combines gentle yoga poses, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques that couples can practice together to enhance physical comfort, emotional connection and mutual understanding.
Partners play an active role in assisting with poses, offering stability, and helping alleviate tension, making it a shared experience of relaxation and teamwork. Prenatal Partner Yoga also provides tools for labor and delivery, such as breathing exercises and supportive positions, fostering confidence and trust in as you approach the transformative moment of labor and delivery together.
Some of the benefits include:
* An increase in body awareness and ability to breathe through the
moment.
* Helps increase confidence in birth partners and their ability to
support the birthing mom.
* Partner assists allow for deeper release in yoga poses, allowing
for more effective relief from common issues that arise in the
pregnant body such as back pain, sciatica, leg cramps, leg
swelling, acid reflux, exhaustion, stiff muscles, and/or
insomnia.
* Releases oxytocin, which assists in shifting out of fight/flight mode and into the parasympathetic mode, thus increasing feelings of safety, relaxation, pleasure, and connection.
* Brings awareness to multiple areas of the body at once, helping to diffuse mental tension and refresh the nervous system.
* Creates a fun, expressive experience of unity and trust between partners, and creates a nurturing time and space to connect with your new baby.
This class is suitable for all levels and offers a beautiful way to connect with your partner and prepare couples with practical tools, building confidence as they approach birth as a team. *All participants must be registered separately.
