Integrating Neuroscience, Mindfulness & Movement into Therapeutic Practice
This experiential workshop explores the intersection of neuroscience, mindfulness, and movement and how these practices can support nervous system regulation, stress resilience, and overall mental wellbeing.
Facilitated by Robyn Brinkerhoff, this workshop is designed for mental health professionals, yoga instructors, and helping professionals interested in deepening their understanding of the neurobiological mechanisms underlying mindfulness and movement-based practices.
Participants will learn how practices such as breathwork, somatic awareness, and intentional movement influence the brain, autonomic nervous system, and stress response. Through a blend of neuroscience education and experiential exercises, attendees will gain practical tools that can be integrated into both therapeutic settings and yoga instruction.
Topics explored include the neurobiology of stress, nervous system regulation, interoception, and the role of mindfulness and movement in supporting emotional regulation and resilience.
This workshop offers an opportunity to bridge scientific understanding with embodied experience, empowering participants with evidence-informed practices that support both personal wellbeing and professional application.
