Join Essential Yoga Studio as we support student Leah Donnelson in her Metta meditation certification process!
Leah is a yoga student, mom, and mental health therapist - all paths leading to a deep passion for loving kindness as a personal practice - and to her enrollment and completion of a Metta Meditation certification course.
“Metta meditation, or loving-kindness meditation, is a Buddhist practice for cultivating compassion for ourselves and others through directing loving, friendly phrases and goodwill. The word “metta” is a Pali word, most often translated as loving-kindness, but has also been translated as universal goodwill or loving-friendliness. The practice originates from the historical Buddha’s early discourse on immeasurable friendliness, the Metta Sutta.” (shared from The Lion's Roar)

There is something profoundly healing about being witnessed.
Safe to Feel is a community witnessing circle—an intentional space to come together and gently explore what is held within the body, and to allow it to be seen. When we bring our stories, our emotions, and our lived experiences into a shared space, something begins to soften. Walls come down. Separation dissolves. And freedom becomes possible.
This month’s circle centers on the impact of the patriarchy—a system that has shaped all of us in different ways. This is not a space for blame or projection. Instead, it is a space for personal reflection, honest expression, and safe release. A space to witness and be witnessed in your own lived experience. This is not a space that will include coaching, fixing, or offering advice.
It is a safe space for expression and witnessing.
This circle is open to all humans—men, women, and non-binary folks—who feel called to explore how this has impacted their body, their story, and their way of relating to the world.
What to Expect:
-
Opening agreements to create a safe, grounded container
-
Guided breath and body awareness to help you connect inward
-
Gentle reflection to explore your personal experience
-
A witnessing circle for authentic expression
-
Closing integration and connection
Complementary tea and water will be available.
You are invited to share your experience and to witness others in theirs, without interruption or interpretation. Everything shared within this container is held in confidentiality and stays within the space.
Sensory Experience Expectations: This experience is designed to be accessible for most sensitivities. There will be no candles, incense, smudging, food, or drinks involved in the space (with the exception of hot tea and water). If you have specific sensory needs or require an accommodation, please reach out in advance. We are happy to support you.
Why This Matters:
When emotions remain unexpressed, they live in the body—shaping how we see ourselves, each other, and the world. In being witnessed, we begin to release what we’ve been holding alone. We remember we are not alone. And we create space for a new way of relating—within ourselves and in community.
Exchange: $12 per person
If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause and have felt dismissed or overwhelmed, this group is for you. Join Essential Yoga Studio as we host Tiffany of TK Esthetics for a welcoming, non-judgmental space where women can share experiences, learn practical strategies to support their bodies, and build a community of understanding and encouragement. We’ll share resources, discuss relevant topics, and occasionally hear from guest speakers on menopause-related health.
This month’s focus: Essential Yoga Studio’s owner and yoga teacher Sunni Nutt will be joining Tiffany to share how a regular yoga practice can support you as you navigate peri/menopause symptoms, helping you find more clarity, patience, self-compassion, and feelings of wellbeing.
This is a voluntary, inclusive group that operates on a donation basis ($5, $10, $15, or whatever you can contribute) to cover the cost of our private meeting space - though all are welcome regardless of ability to contribute. Choose your contribution amount at checkout.
Dress comfortably for seated conversation; hot tea and water provided.
Sensory experience expectations: this event will include conversation and may be set against soft music played from a speaker; lighting will be low but adjustable per participants' preference; we will not be burning incense or other items at this event.
