Join Essential's owner and instructor Sunni on New Year's morning from 9-1130a and begin the new year with a practice rooted in intention, clarity, and ritual. A Yoga Mala is a traditional sequence of 108 sun salutations used to honor moments of transition. New Year’s Day is one of the most meaningful times to complete this practice because it invites us to consciously close one chapter and step into another with presence and purpose.
The number 108 carries symbolic significance across yoga traditions. It reflects completeness and the connection between our individual journey and the larger universe, the Divine, or God. Moving through a Mala on January 1 becomes a way to acknowledge where we have been, release what we are ready to set down, and set the tone for how we want to move through the year ahead.
In this special celebration, we will complete one Mala together through four rounds of 27 sun salutations, each expressed through a different pathway:
- Traditional Sun Salutation A
- Supine Flow from the back body
- Chair Yoga variation
- Hands and Knees Flow
Between each round, you will have time to rest, hydrate, and reset. Coffee, tea, water, and light breakfast items will be available.
This event reflects the heart of our studio philosophy. Yoga adapts to your body and your season of life. By offering four full variations, we create a shared experience where every body can participate with confidence and curiosity.

Join us for Essential Empowerment, an 8-week journey weaving together the science of gut health and the teachings of yoga. This experience is designed to guide you into deeper connection with your body, your intuition, and your inner truth — empowering you to understand what truly nourishes and supports you.
Through this season of devotion, you’ll move through a full body and intuition reset — beginning with a gentle devotional detox, flowing into an elimination and reintroduction process, and grounding into the ancient teachings of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Each week offers both education and embodiment — pairing practical tools for gut healing with spiritual yoga practices to harmonize your mind, body, and spirit.

If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause and have felt dismissed or overwhelmed, this group is for you. Join Essential Yoga Studio as we host Tiffany of TK Esthetics for a welcoming, non-judgmental space where women can share experiences, learn practical strategies to support their bodies, and build a community of understanding and encouragement. We’ll share resources, discuss relevant topics, and occasionally hear from guest speakers on menopause-related health.
Our first meeting will focus on introductions, establishing group norms, sharing resources and experiences, and determining future topics and scheduling preferences. This is a voluntary, inclusive group that operates on a donation basis ($5, $10, $15, or whatever you can contribute) to cover the cost of our private meeting space - though all are welcome regardless of ability to contribute.
