This workshop will provide prompts for exploring your stories, and a space to connect with your craft and eachother. There is no official fee for this workshop, however we do suggest a $10 donation (if possible) via cash or Venmo upon arrival for Cindy's time and efforts.
Join us for a 1.5-hour Generative Writing Workshop designed to spark creativity, explore craft, and support your writing practice.
Each session, we’ll review an element of craft, read a select poem or short creative work—fiction and nonfiction alike—and use these as springboards for our own writing.
Optional prompts and exercises will help discover fresh ways to enter your writing. Or feel free to use this time to continue an existing project. Time for optional workshopping is reserved for the final half hour of the session.
Open to all experience levels – whether you’re
a curious beginner, a journal keeper, or a seasoned writer seeking
fresh inspiration.
Generative focus, optional peer
review– leave each session with new writing sparked by our
guided prompts. Limited feedback optional.
Creative, supportive, relaxed, and exploratory –
an inviting space to connect with fellow writers and nurture your
voice.
Workshop Goals:
Get you writing
Create community
Share in exploring the craft of poetry and creative writing
Experiment with existing works as points of departure
Facilitated by Cindy Fleischer, a retired executive, volunteer, writer, and researcher. She holds a BA in psychology and is currently pursuing her MA in interdisciplinary Research.
Enhance your writing life. Put pen to paper and cultivate your voice.
