Our Continuing I youth Lyra is a continuation of skills learned in the beginning III level. Students should be comfortability below, in, and above the lyra, be able to perform single knee and elbow hangs, and show ease, focus & musicality when moving on the lyra. Students should have explicit instructor approval before signing up for this level.
This class is a cohesive 8 week session geared towards developing cleaner technique and improved strength and flexibility through skill progression on the hoop.
Beginning aerial silks is a cohesive 4 week course designed for absolute beginners. We will progress in skill and difficulty on a weekly basis. Be prepared to try hard with a great attitude. We recommend wearing leggings and a form fitting tank or leotard. Please no shorts, as this can cause painful fabric burns on the legs.
This class will focus on continuing to work clean form and strength in our skills, and begin to develop a sense of flow and artistry as we link skills together. This class requires an ability to stay in the silk for up to 3 minutes, and a strong ability to follow directions and keep focus while in class. we will work progressively towards deepening our understanding of silks wraps and pathways. Students should have catchers, multiple belay entrances, and x-back prior to joining this class.
This Continuing Aerial Silks Class is designed for adult students who have learned how to climb in multiple styles, invert, tie both variations of foot locks, and have learned at least 3 methods for entry into X back.
This class extends beyond our very basic skills and starts to explore more climbs, locks, and keys, and is designed for adult students who have learned how to climb, tie a foot lock, and are gaining comfort with inversions. We will continue to build strength and comfort on the silks as we work towards developing clean technique and form, as well as learning how to transition through sequences of movement in the air.
