Intro to Block Therapy
Mar 22, 2026 - Mar 22, 2026

What if the tension you keep stretching isn’t just tight muscles - but dehydrated, contracted fascia holding years of stress patterns?

Fascia is the intelligent, living web of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, organ, nerve, and blood vessel in your body. When the body perceives threat, fascia contracts to protect us. If safety is never restored, that contraction can remain, storing tension, toxins, and energy in the tissue.

Over time, these holding patterns shape what is often described as the “collapsed” body type - caved chest, rounded shoulders, restricted breath - a posture commonly associated with chronic disease development.

Block Therapy is a fascial release method that uses blocks to apply targeted pressure while you breathe slowly and intentionally. This restores circulation, rehydrates fascia, and decompresses areas of restriction. As fascia releases, many people experience improved posture, deeper breath capacity, reduced pain, and a greater sense of nervous system calm.

In this introductory workshop, we will:

- Learn what fascia is and why it matters

- Explore how chronic tension shapes posture and breath

- Experience guided Block Therapy positions

- Discuss how fascial release supports nervous system regulation

This class is perfect for people who:

- Feel “tight” no matter how much they stretch

- Experience chronic pain, fatigue, or digestive issues

- Are curious about the fascia–nervous system connection

Come prepared to move slowly, breathe deeply, and experience your body in a new way.

Taught by Jen Donovan, Certified Block Therapy Instructor & Tension and Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) Provider

The Chaturanga Workshop
Mar 29, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026

Chaturanga Dandasana, or “four-limbed staff pose” is an integral part of many yoga traditions. Typically, it is used as a transition pose leading to urdhva mukha svanasana (upward-facing dog); however, this pose holds its own power!

Practicing Chaturanga incorrectly is the number one cause of yoga-related injury. In this 90-minute workshop, Jessie and Nicole will breakdown the alignment of the body as you travel through the movements of Chaturanga.

• Identify the supportive muscle groups that stabilize the shoulders, core, and spine
• Learn how to use eccentric, concentric, and isometric muscle actions to build strength and control
• Understand how momentum and energy transfer support a smooth transition into Upward Facing Dog
• Develop tools to increase stamina and strength progressively, reducing fatigue and preventing injury over time

Come prepared to practice, to learn, and be less injury-prone in Chaturanga.
