Flow + Restore is an 8-week yoga series designed to encourage both mindful body movement and time for stillness. Each class will begin with body movement connected to the breath and finish with restorative yoga and meditation. During flow, variations to poses will be offered for an inclusive and accessible practice. During restorative yoga and meditation, poses with props held for longer periods of time will allow the body to rest. All are welcome to join this practice!
These classes are designed specifically for the motor, cognitive and sensory benefits of the early elementary aged students. Participants will
- stretch and strengthen their bodies through yoga postures and motor activities
- build social skills through interactive games and stories with related yoga poses
- improve focus and attention by incorporating self-regulation strategies, and breathing techniques into developmentally appropriate yoga & Mindfulness games
- end each class with calming relaxation time (i.e. guided stories, sharing time, etc.)

Portions of the class flow through the primary standing poses, while others provide deep stretch. Students are encouraged to find the challenge that’s right for them as they embrace an increased level of strength, toning, flexibility, balance and mental clarity. Appropriate for students with yoga experience and mindful beginners. Mixed Level.
Postures in the practice of yoga help us reach a higher state of health and well-being. The movement patterns in yoga have been shown to improve strength, stability, balance, digestion/elimination, immunity and overall feelings of well being! The use of a chair or any other yoga prop facilitates this according to our body’s personal structure and ability. The chair allows for many to improve their postural alignment the basis for each subtle movement within the class. The use of a chair can minimize the activity of the mind (often expressed as concern about stability, strength, balance, etc.) by allowing time to integrate the posture from the inside out as well as experiencing the ease and steadiness of the form with the support of the chair beneath the body. This class is very accessible. If you have ?’s please do not hesitate to contact us.
Explore a balance of opposites with this class that combines two styles: Vinyasa and Yin. Class begins with an upbeat, active flow to get the body moving and build strength before transitioning to the cooling, deep grounding poses of Yin. Level 2
