Yoga Foundations Workshop
This workshop offers an introduction to the foundations of yoga for those new to the practice or wishing to deepen their understanding. We’ll begin with a brief discussion of yoga’s ethical principles—the Yamas and Niyamas—before moving into the physical practice of Asana (postures). To complete our exploration, we will look at the art of Pranayama (breathwork) and how it supports balance and presence both on and off the mat.
Space is Limited.
Inversions Workshop
Ready to see the world from a new perspective? This workshop offers a step-by-step exploration of inversions, beginning with the foundations of Headstand (Salamba Sirsasana). Whether you’re learning this posture for the first time or refining your existing practice, you’ll gain tools to approach it with strength, stability, and ease.
We’ll also explore Shoulder Stand (Salamba Sarvangasana) and Plow Pose (Halasana), bringing balance, calm, and clarity after the energizing lift of Headstand. Time permitting, we’ll look at additional variations and inversions to deepen your practice.

”Stillness lives within you, beneath the noise and beneath the rushing."
Still Waters is an invitation to return to that quiet place
inside.
Through guided breathwork, a deeply restful Yoga Nidra journey, and
the soft
embrace of live sound including crystal singing bowls, Koshi
chimes, rainstick, and
other instruments, we will gently settle the nervous system and
allow the body
and mind to fully let go.
This practice is here to hold you and remind you that rest is not
something you
have to earn. It is something you are made for.
Come as you are. Leave feeling lighter, softer, and more connected
to yourself.
No previous yoga or meditation experience is needed. This event is
perfect for
anyone seeking deep rest, emotional reset, or a sacred pause.
Through storytelling, ancient texts and visual art, come see how yogis lived, practiced, and evolved. Join Laura Zaleschuk, an inspiring teacher and scholar of Yoga History & Philosophy, as she brings engaging stories and humour to the evolution of yoga — from ancient asceticism to the flowing hatha traditions of the medieval era, to the dynamic modern approaches we know today.
Laura will also spotlight three fascinating historical tools of practice — huts, mats, and straps — as seen in Indian sculptures and paintings, ancient relics Laura has personally seen while traversing India — each offering a window into how yoga was actually lived, not just taught.
This isn't just a lecture, it's a journey into the roots of yoga that reveals how deeply the practice has always been about the inner experience, not just the outer shapes. You'll walk away with a whole new lens on yoga.
