
4 week Prenatal Yoga Series - Saturdays
When: October 7,14, 28, November 11 (**note: no classes October 21 and November 4)

Description: The practice of yoga during pregnancy supports the mother physically, emotionally and mentally. It empowers and educates expectant mothers to make decisions that are beneficial for herself and her baby. This course will also provide tools and techniques to help with labor and birth.
You will experience guided movement (asana) to strengthen and
stabilize your growing body. We will practice pranayama which are
breathing techniques that are very important to prepare the mother
for a calm and peaceful birth. This will help
you through your contractions and to become present with the
moment. Also you will experience guided meditation to invite
balance in the mind and heart. You become present and aware of the
changes in the body. You become more peaceful and connect with
your
growing baby.
Benefits: Develop mind-body awareness, develop
connection with the female pelvis where the pregnant woman can be
an active participant of the birth of her baby by creating pelvic
movements that will ease labor and birth, develop knowledge and
empowerment, develop community, develop relaxation in the nervous
system through movement and breathing techniques, develop the
improvement of whole body range of motion in preparation for labor,
development of the connection of breath and the relaxation of
pelvic floor and pushing.
