Yoga for Beginners : 4-Week Course
Jan 8, 2026 - Jan 29, 2026
This course will guide you through some of the fundamentals of a yoga practice: developing an awareness of the body and some foundational practices and postures; an introduction to working with the breath and an exploration of how mindful awareness forms the basis of all of these experiences.

We will build our knowledge and awareness of various yoga postures, including balancing postures, forward and back bending postures and twists.

Practitioners will be invited to find ways of moving and being in the postures that work best for their body, rather than trying to fit their body into fixed shapes. In this way we will build strength, steadiness, stamina and ease whilst discovering new functional ways of moving.

We will deepen our awareness of the breath and how it can support us in our daily lives, our physical practice and also how it can support us as we move toward stillness. The deep rest practice of yoga nidra will form a key part of the course, as practitioners take time to integrate their learnings and settle their nervous systems.

We will make time for questions and discussion, sharing our experiences, and exploring some of the ethical and philosophical aspects of this vast tradition.

All body shapes and sizes are welcome, no need to be flexible or fit. Come as you are and experience the benefits that yoga brings!

Postnatal Pilates Course (Jan-Fev)
Jan 12, 2026 - Feb 9, 2026

This course is available to women and their babies who have had their 6 week postnatal checkup and are given the go -ahead to begin gentle exercise. You can, of course, come along without your baby if you have someone to look after them.

Pilates is great for strengthening your core and helping to regain your pre-pregnancy abdominal strength. Most importantly, we will be focussing on strengthening the pelvic floor and lower abdominals. You will work up slowly and safely.

It is also good for your mental health and general well-being. An opportunity to leave the house with or without your baby and meet other women in the same situation.

Sometimes you will get little done, especially if babies need feeding, but you will still be able to gain knowledge of the moves and practice later at home. It is also a great opportunity to bond with your baby and make connections with other new mums. Often, the postnatal classes are a woman’s first insight into this practice.
