Hertfordshire Mind Network are excited to offer a new CPD event covering 4 hours of guided learning and experiential activities to support counsellors to safely work with clients experiencing trauma and dysregulation.
In this experiential workshop you will learn about:

Whether you are in training or fully qualified this workshop will provide an opportunity to try out a range of experiential techniques to help you to feel confident in safely integrating some bottom-up approaches into your way of working to support your clients.
This training is provided by Kate Williams, founder of The Bedfordshire Centre for Therapeutic Studies and author of the Somatic toolkit. Kate is a BACP & EMDR Europe Accredited counsellor & EMDR therapist, somatic trauma therapist and clinical supervisor with a background in yoga, breathwork and bodywork.
Previously Kate has worked as a counselling tutor for Huntingdon Regional College and a bodywork tutor for the University of Westminster as well as working as a college counsellor for 11 years. She currently runs a busy private practice in Potton and online whilst enjoying teaching yoga and breathwork in her spare time.
Kate has a keen interest in the impact trauma can have on the nervous system, mind and body and has undergone extensive training in trauma including sensorimotor psychotherapy, EMDR and various parts work models including Somatic IFS and Voice Dialogue. With this in mind, and her training as a breathwork coach, she has developed a robust trauma-informed & embodied way of working to support others to better inhabit their bodies, self soothe and develop a greater capacity to live a full life.
