Free Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga
Oct 26, 2025 - Oct 26, 2025

Free Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga Workshop
with Miriam Menkin
Sunday October 26, 2025
3pm-5pm

Ashtanga Yoga is a style of yoga from the original Hatha Yoga system. Ashtanga yoga was developed by Indian yogi K. Pattabhi Jois, who systematized and established the method in the mid-20th century, beginning with his Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in 1948 in Mysore, India. An Ashtanga yoga practice is built around a progressive series of set sequences, each more advanced than the last. The practice has a structured beginning, middle, and end.

Learn the history of the practice, unique breath work, dive deeper into the 8 Limb path of Patanjali, unnderstanding its foundational purpose and philosophical roots can be valuable for learners of all levels, particularly those seeking inner peace and spiritual growth.

Once we have covered these fundamentals, we will apply these philosophies and practical tools on the mat, practicing the Ashtanga sequence. We will start with sun salutations and move on to standing poses, seated poses and finishing poses.

Lastly, we will share and connect with one another our observations, feelings and ideas about what we’ve covered and experienced about Ashtanga.

Day of the Dead Sound Healing Event
Nov 2, 2025 - Nov 2, 2025

Día de los Muertos is celebrated every year on November 1st and 2nd. This holiday has a long and complex history that dates back thousands of years. For some they believe that during this time of the year, the boundaries separating the realms of the living and the dead weaken and that the deceased can come back to visit their living relatives.

Many traditions understand the importance to celebrate death as we do life. For us we believe that finding ways to honor and remember our loved ones through a holistic lifestyle, and being of service to others is definitely key to honoring our grief journey as it can be so hard because we experienced the essence of true love.

Join Carolina Pelayo for a wonderful healing evening of essential oils, tea, sound healing and community to nurture ourselves, and to honor our loved ones who have passed.

Please feel free to bring family and friends..
