SUP Yoga YTT - Learn to Teach SUP Yoga

Take your teaching off the mat and onto the water with this immersive, hands-on SUP Yoga Teacher Training. Whether you're a yoga instructor looking to expand your offerings, or a fitness instructor wanting to add a fun new modality, this training will give you everything you need to confidently lead classes on the lake.

Set at the beautiful Christie Lake Conservation Area, you’ll spend the weekend learning, practicing, and teaching directly on the water, surrounded by nature. This experiential program blends technical paddling skills with creative movement sequencing so you can safely guide students of all levels.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Essential Paddling Skills: Proper stroke technique, stance, balance, and efficiency to help you and your future students feel confident on the board.

  • SUP Yoga Poses & Modifications: How to adapt traditional yoga postures for the board, create stability, and offer variations for different levels.

  • Fitness Integration: Learn how to weave strength, core, and conditioning elements into your on-water classes for a dynamic workout experience.

  • Safety & Environmental Awareness: Understanding weather patterns, water safety protocols, rescue techniques, anchoring systems, and best practices for group management.

  • Teaching Skills on Water: Cueing, demonstration techniques, voice projection, sequencing flow, and creating a supportive environment in a natural setting.

  • Class Creation: Build a full SUP yoga or SUP fitness sequence and practice teaching with peer feedback.

  • Comprehensive Manual: Full reference guide including poses, paddle techniques, and safety guidelines.

This program is recognized by Yoga Alliance, and participants receive continuing education credits upon completion.
