Zen KIDS Yoga begins Sunday, Sept. 14th
Zen Kids Yoga (Ages 6–11*)This class is for any child who wants to explore yoga, movement, mindfulness, and ways to increase flexibility, strength, and mental focus. Our Kids Yoga program is playful and engaging, blending yoga-inspired games, breathing exercises, affirmations, and age-appropriate poses (in both English and Sanskrit) to help children develop body awareness, emotional regulation, and creativity. Yoga can also be a supportive complement to sports and performing arts. Whether your child plays soccer, swims, dances, or participates in other activities, yoga helps protect their growing bodies from overuse injuries, supports balanced strength and flexibility, and offers tools for stress relief and mental resilience. Classes are scheduled at the same time as our adult warm candlelight session so parents can enjoy their own practice while children participate. Each 60-minute class includes movement, music, and quiet time in a safe, supportive environment. Class size is limited to 8 students to ensure personal attention. January–April

In a world that moves fast, scrolls endlessly, and rarely slows down—this series is an invitation to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself.

Yoga Foundations: Back to Basics is a four-part workshop series designed to help you feel more confident, more grounded, and more connected—both on and off the mat. While each workshop can be taken individually, the series is intentionally designed as a progressive journey, meeting on the third Sunday of each month from January through April.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this series offers something we all need right now: a deeper understanding of the “why” behind the practice.


Why This Series Matters

Yoga is more than shapes on a mat. It’s breath, awareness, and learning how to be in your body in a way that supports your nervous system, your energy, and your everyday life.

In this series, you’ll:

  • Learn the foundations of yoga in a way that feels approachable and empowering

  • Understand common poses and how to move safely and confidently

  • Learn studio etiquette so you feel at ease walking into any class

  • Discover how breath and movement support stress relief, focus, and resilience

  • Build a practice that actually fits your body and your life

This series is perfect for beginners, and equally valuable for experienced students who want to slow down, refine, and reconnect with the roots of their practice.


What We’ll Explore

Week 1 – Basics & Flow
We’ll start with what yoga really is (and what it isn’t), studio etiquette, and how to be a mindful yoga student, then we will move into common warm-up poses. You’ll learn a clear breakdown of Sun Salutation A and C.

What We’ll Explore

Week 2 – Breathing & Grounding
We’ll explore how grounding and breath create stability—both on the mat and in life. From there, we’ll break down lateral standing poses like Triangle and Warrior II, focusing on strength, alignment, and ease. Then we will introduce meditation, along with the foundations of Ujjayi breathing—the breath that helps calm the mind and anchor your practice.
